HAURAKI GARDEN HOME

Completed in 2023, this contemporary home underwent a light interior renovation, with a colour palette drawn from the surrounding garden. Existing dark oak joinery was extended on by way of open shelving and the entry foyer built-in drawers allowing for collected items from the client's travels to be displayed and enjoyed. A considered approach was taken to designing this new cabinetry to accommodate key pieces and provide complimentary lighting for them.

A grasscloth-like wall covering contributes texture and layering to the lounge and entry areas and compliments the ethnic artefacts throughout. An existing pendant light defines the colour palette in this space with the furnishings and floor rug pulling all the elements together. The bedrooms are playful with their fabric selections with complimenting decorative elements.
