THE PLAYER’S LOUNGE

Following 2023 Auckland flood damage, Netball North Harbour expanded remedial work to a full renovation of their interiors. The Player's Lounge provides a hub within the complex that allows for members and non-members to socialise and needed to foster community connection. Colour was used to create atmosphere in this family friendly space. Literal references to netball are made through the counter front feature netting, rope handles and the bespoke wall mural. Custom stadium-like box seating provides flexibility in the space and allows game watching. Lost property is managed in the custom lost and found cabinetry. 

The space is packed with energy and utilises functional materiality and planning to meet the needs of this well-used environment. We are proud to have been involved in such a special project that supports community.
