Textural movement and layering was important in creating a calm atmosphere in this artist's bathroom renovation. Slate flooring and Rimu features within the homes existing mid-century/Frank Lloyd Wright aesthetic were carried into the bathroom and toilet for cohesion and a sense of belonging. Finishes are timeless with an understated modern-classic appeal.
Travertine-look shower tiles and Venetian plastered feature walls lend a soft calmness to the spaces. The off-white base palette pairs well with the warm timber tones of the custom Rimu vanity, bi-folding cupboard doors and gunmetal details.
Curves are introduced into the space through the half height partition wall, freestanding bath, vanity mirrors and tapware. Their softness further adding to the relaxing atmosphere.
